Chris Weidner - Social Media Strategy
Born in Webster, Texas and raised in Houston, Texas, Chris Weidner studied filmmaking and screenwriting under the veteran eye of filmmaker Andy Anderson at the University of Texas at Arlington. Chris worked in a variety of roles on a number of films including his writing/directing debut and festival favorite short film, Newlybleds. He wrote and produced his first feature film, My Comfortable Stranger, which found distribution on DVD through Starling Films. Chris followed his passion for film from the big screen to the computer monitor when he started what has since become the #1 Texas filmmaking community website, ShortFilmTexas.com
While spending summers on his family’s 19,000 acre ranch in Palo Pinto County, Chris developed a respect and love for the land and wildlife. That love grew tenfold after accepting the position of Video Editor for TexasHuntFish.com. Over the last several years, Chris has assumed more leadership roles within the Texas Wildlife Unlimited portfolio. He currently serves as Director of Community Development for TexasHuntFish.com, Director of Social Media Strategy for Outdoor Media Services, and is the Editor of the popular Texas Top Picks Newsletter.
A recreational fisherman and hunter, Chris brings a fresh eye and outlook to the online sportsman community.
